Fragrance Inspiration: Manifesto by YSL

"A bouquet of jasmine punctuated by green notes and a bold trail combining wood, vanilla and tonka beans are the signature of this declaration of femininity"

I was getting my car serviced this past weekend and walked the parking lot over to a local mall to pass the time. As I walked through the Boscov’s to get to the main center of the mall, I noticed the perfume counters and decided to check them out. By no means, am I a fragrance expert...I couldn't tell you what a green note is as opposed to a blue note :-), but if you can...more power to you! I just like what smells good to me, which is usually floral scents like Gucci Flora and Vera Wang, for example.

Specifically, I’m not big into fragrances because of allergies, but when I find the right scent I’m all over it! Out of all the fragrances I checked out that day, Manifesto definitely made a lasting impression, and I loved the sleek bottle with it's feminine figure. It's really a perfect floral scent that’s not overwhelming and just right for the warmer months.... so if you’re looking for something new to try, this is the one to check out!

Happy Friday!!

Mixed Prints: Stripes & Leopard and How to Wear It Now!

Happy Hump Day all!! Week is almost over, been crazy busy as usual, but wanted to share my latest wants and trend inspirations with you! Lately, I've been really into mixing prints; mainly stripes with florals, dots with florals, stripes with leopard prints, etc. My fave combo is the stripes and leopard print, of course and this is my look inspired by this combo.

I’m loving the whole feel of this look right here. I could have done a full on striped shirt but I’m liking the minimalist feel to this top so went with that instead. It’s very easy to pair with black jeans, but to step it up a notch I’m liking the red skinnies as an option as well. What do you think of this look? Are you into mixing patterns, if so, what’s your fave combo?
