Get this Look: Halle Berry Blazer Inspiration

I'm all about blazers this fall and am sooooo loving this Balmain blazer here at Net-a-porter. This is the epitome of blazers to me, with the structured shape, luxe velvet fabric and gold button detailing. Found some style inspiration here via Halle Berry in a classic back and white combo and this is my take on the look! I'm big on black and white mixes right now and went for a graphic print tee instead of the stripes. I also added my own touch with these really cute gold cap toe pumps from Mango, definitely a great night on the town look with your girls or for date night! (See more tuxedo blazers above for blazers at all price points)

Mango Fall Lookbook

I checked out some looks from Mango's fall collection while out and about yesterday and attached some of my faves from their look book below! I like the clean, minimal feel to thes looks. I'm especially loving this classic black leather jacket that I saw it in a coffee color in the store and have to get! Which look is your fave?

Get This Look: Michelle Williams in Tibi Tuxedo Blazer and Cobalt Blue Jeans

Loving this look on Michelle Williams! Wearing a Tibi tuxedo jacket (that I found to retail anywhere from $263-$467!!!), I found a great look a like at Zara that is very similar in detail and only 89.90. I also found tons of striped tops with tropical appliques like her top from Stella McCartney, but none really fit the bill so I went with this striped with gold anchor detail instead from Alloy. The blazer will pull the look together and the gold anchor ties in with the hardware on the Mango satchel, which at $229 is still a bargain to her Louis Vuitton bag! I love how she paired these with Current/Elliot jeans in a pop color like cobalt instead of black pants or dark blue jeans. Here is my look for less!

Designer Looks for Less!!

We all have an item we want, covet, envy... whatever you want to call it, that we can't get just yet becasue of the price. It could be because you're still in college, taking care of your family or have big plans that require saving so spending a couple of hundred or even thousands on one single item is out of the question. I'm saving up to buy a home next year and to go on a vacation this April so spending huge amounts of money on a whim right now is not an option. Thankfully, there are lots of options of faking it until you make it! I found some designer items that I like and was able to find very close look-a-likes, check out my finds!!

What Your Shades And Lipstick Style Say About You! ( According to Me :-) )

Let me just say this is my theory based on observation only. That said, here is my theory on shade styles! When out and about, the three main types of shades I see are retro styles like wayfarers, glamazon rounds frames and sporty aviators. 1. The wayfarer wearer wants to look cool above all else, takes a nod from Old Hollywood starlets and wears red pouts with classic silhouettes like trenches, slim jeans, riding boots and such. Starlets that come to mind for this type of sunglass wearers are Gwen Stefani, Anne Hathaway and Dita von Teese. 2. The round glamazon wearers are usually done up from head to toe; hair, nails everything, eyes are usually played up with makeup so light pink/rose lips top off their look. Starlets that come to mind for this type of sunglass wearer are Jennifer Lopez, Kerri Hilson and Eva Mendes. 3. Last but not least, is the aviator wearer, she has a more laidback vibe and is very confident au naturel. She wears very little makeup…maybe gloss here and there and on a daily chooses comfortable looks over high fashion. Celebs that come to mind for this type of eye wearer are Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Beal and Michelle Rodriguez. There you have it! In a nutshell my brief but (somewhat) thought out analysis..lol! I tend to be all three at different times but for the most part, I prefer the classic retro/ wayfarer shapes with a red lip…what’s your shade style?
